HOT core 26 specialty class
When spring rolls around are you ready to come out of winter-hibernation mode and get your bones moving again? If so, consider
joining our one-time CORE 26 Hot Yoga Specialty Class on Sunday March 29, 9-10:15am at Chapel Hill North.
Similar to the Hot 26, CORE 26 is the series you know and love, PLUS: deep
abdominal strengtheners, a few new variations on postures, and a handful of
poses from the advanced series of 84 postures, from which the original 26 poses
are derived (beginners AND advanced students are welcome!). THE MAIN GOAL OF THIS WORKSHOP IS TO GIVE YOU A NEW (physical and mental) APPROACH TO THE POSTURES YOU ALREADY KNOW. So come on out this Sunday and do some Yoga with Sinead, who is visiting from school in San Francisco!
MORE INFO: This 75minute class will start with a brief check-in of each individual's current body needs, as well as some short and basic TaiChi warm ups (a style of martial arts Sinead is currently practicing) to help relax our minds before working hard. Through out class we will e xamine new ways to enter and exit poses that will maximize the retraining of your mind-body physiology. The general pace of this class is quicker than your standard Hot
26 class, giving you less time to think and more of that mind-shattering
work-out you might be looking for. There will only be ONE set of each pose in the
standing and floor series.
All levels of experience are welcome. Long-time practitioners are especially
encouraged to attend! This workshop is also ideal for athletes who would like to
re-pattern their body in order to minimize future injuries. However, even a
desk-worker with very little coordination/body awareness will walk out of this workshop with
a new appreciation for the human body. Let's investigate the power of a good yoga practice for
health prevention together!.
